In the last two weeks, one of our very own students Joseph Piccolo won his first World Championship Title In Orlando Florida. He is now a IKF Novice Men’s Super Middle Weight World Championship at the early age of 17. For his first fight he fought 22 year old Anthony Castillo out of Miami Florida. He won in the beginning of the second round by TKO. His second opponent never showed up. His third and final opponent was 34 year old Tyrone Hemingway from Chicago Illinois. This was a very tough fight for Joseph, his opponent was much larger than him but Joseph fought hard and managed to get two knockdowns in the second round and won the third round by TKO. Joseph is now training towards his new goal of making Team Canada boxing by February 2018.
We have lots of talented kids here at Golden Glory and I believe that they can all become Champions of the World if they work hard and are dedicated like Joseph.
